STARS was created with a tour of South Africa, and created international headlines for being the first company to perform in front of a multi-racial audience in the history of South Africa. The company also performed the World Premier of master choreographer Anthony Tudor's 'Sunflowers' . STARS toured for six years playing to over 60 cities each year and became the most booked touring company in America.
